Kynan Pearson is a video game designer who has worked with Nintendo on titles such as Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Pearson was the lead designer for Donkey Kong Country Returns developed by Retro Studios. Pearson has also developed for Halo 4. Pearson brings passionate creativity and thoughtfulness into his design and approach for the games he works on to truly bring them to life.

Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Johnny attended Clayton High School before making his way to Columbia and the University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Media Arts. At 19, he was 5th at the 2008 Olympic Trials, three-tenths on a second from making the team. Fast forward to August 2016, and we find Smokehouse and Miss Mamie Porter in a fight for survival as Baton Rouge and the greater community they’ve built around swamp blues falls prey to rising flood waters.
